Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission | INTERVIEW WITH THE HCMC Regulator CHAIRMAN ON FINANCIAL PODCAST “KOUMANTO STIN TSEPI SOU”

In the context of the awareness campaign Global Money Week 2023, the Chairman of Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) Dr. George Theocharides was hosted on the financial podcast "Koumanto Stin Tsepi Sou" where he discussed in detail, in a one-to-one interview HCMC Regulator’s activities and initiatives to promote financial literacy among children, youngsters, and vulnerable groups.

Among other, the HCMC Regulator Chairman, referred to a new, joint initiative with the Ministry of Education, the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance, for the promotion of financial education material to Primary and Secondary schools.

At the same time, he emphasized the imperative need for financial literacy within the framework of the National Strategy for the Promotion of Financial Literacy and Financial Education in Cyprus. He also emphasized the strategic targets of the Commission that aim on investor protection, as well as the protection of the wider public.
